Each cone burns for approx 15 minutes.

Instructions for using the cone:

Place the cone in a small bowl burner with cone point facing up. Light the cone with a match or lighter. The cone should glow red and give off a delicate wisp of pale fragrant smoke indicating that it is slowly burning.

Agarbati is a substitute.
